What to Expect

During your coursework, you will learn theory, principles and practice of retailing. Retail stores throughout the community will serve as inspiration and as working laboratories as you learn the practical application of theory in real-world settings.

The Retail program at the University of South Carolina allows you to specialize in retail management or fashion merchandising. Both provide you with business fundamentals such as accounting, economics, business law, communications and computer applications. You will also have the chance to explore your interests through two required internships, coordinated by our department that boasts a 100 percent internship placement rate for retailing majors.
